Learning & Development | Instructional Design | Performance Improvement

I design accessible, practical learning experiences that help people build capability and apply what they learn on the job.

My work brings together instructional design, learning technology, performance support, and evidence-informed learning strategies. I approach each project by understanding the performance need first, then designing a focused solution for the audience, context, and desired outcome.

What I Bring to L&D

  • Instructional design: Needs-focused learning experiences, microlearning, scenario-based practice, and clear learning objectives.
  • Performance improvement: Identifying barriers to performance and considering job aids, workflow support, and other solutions—not just training.
  • Onboarding and enablement: Organizing information into practical learning paths, resources, and support that help people become confident in their roles.
  • Accessible learning: Applying Universal Design for Learning (UDL), accessibility-minded design, and inclusive communication.
  • Development and iteration: Prototyping, gathering feedback, and refining learning solutions through structured, iterative workflows.
  • Evaluation: Connecting learning objectives to observable application and meaningful outcomes.

My Approach

I start by clarifying the business or performance goal, the audience, and the barriers affecting success. I then identify an appropriate solution, design and develop accessible resources, test the experience, and use feedback to improve it. My approach draws on ADDIE, SAM/Agile-informed iteration, adult learning principles, and performance-support practices.

Learning Technology

My toolkit includes Articulate Rise, H5P, MoodleCloud, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Canva. I also work with LMS/SCORM concepts and am developing further capability in Articulate Storyline 360 and learning technology workflows.
